Writing, Scholarship, & Media

I have always been fascinated by the question of how people survive, heal, and grow through life’s most difficult experiences.

My work as a researcher, writer, educator, and clinician explores the intersections of resilience, belonging, identity, grief, trauma, suicidality, and human connection. Whether through peer-reviewed scholarship, professional publications, podcast conversations, or personal essays, I am interested in understanding what helps people move toward meaning, safety, and wellbeing.

As a counselor educator at Vanderbilt University and practicing clinician, I believe some of the most important questions emerge at the intersection of research and real life. My writing reflects a commitment to making complex ideas accessible, practical, and deeply human.

Here, you’ll find a collection of scholarly publications, professional articles, podcast appearances, and essays. Together, they represent my ongoing effort to contribute to conversations that help individuals, professionals, and communities navigate challenge with greater wisdom, compassion, and resilience.

If you are interested in collaboration, media inquiries, speaking engagements, or accessing a publication, I would be delighted to connect.
